Terms of Service
Last updated: July 21, 2026

By booking a reading, purchasing a product, or joining a membership tier through this site, you agree to the terms below.

The Nature Of These Services

Readings, maps, and written materials provided through this site are offered as tools for reflection and self-examination. They are not therapy, not medical or psychiatric advice, not legal advice, and not a guarantee or prediction of any outcome. Nothing delivered through this site should replace the guidance of a licensed professional.

Client Responsibility For Records

Once a reading, map, journal analysis, or any other written material is delivered, it becomes the client's property and the client's responsibility to retain.

A Necessary Murder will make reasonable efforts to keep copies of delivered materials but is not liable for loss, corruption, or deletion of a client's own history, whether due to technical failure, accidental deletion, closure of the business, or any other circumstance. Clients are strongly encouraged to save their own copy of anything delivered, immediately upon receipt.

Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, A Necessary Murder is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this site or its services, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of delivered materials, or decisions made based on a reading. Total liability in any circumstance is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.

Payment And Refunds

All live sessions and one-time readings require a valid card on file at the time of booking. All sales are final. No refunds are issued once a reading has been delivered or a session has taken place.

Cancellation window. Live sessions cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled time will be charged the full price of the session, as though it had taken place.

A cancellation inside that window doesn't reduce the work already put in. Chart preparation and reserved time happen well before the appointment itself, and that slot is closed to anyone else who might have booked it instead. This is a full practice, with real preparation behind every session, not a drop-in service that can be waved off without cost. The charge reflects the actual work and the actual lost opportunity, not a penalty for changing your mind.

Membership And Subscription Cancellation

Coven memberships (The Dark Moon, The New Moon, The Full Moon) may be cancelled at any time, subject to a flat $15 cancellation fee. The Ledger may be cancelled at any time, subject to a flat $20 cancellation fee. The Ledger's higher fee reflects that it is not a generic monthly reading but an accumulating personal record built specifically for one client.

Access to future deliverables ends at the close of the current billing period. Materials already delivered remain the client's property per the section above.

Blind Trial Participants

Participants in the blind trial are governed by the separate consent given at signup, which takes precedence over these general terms for anything specific to the trial.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes To These Terms

These terms may be updated as the business changes. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
